LEARNING IS A COMMUNAL ART!
Through working with local vendors, artists, and organizations, the Make Life Fair aims to provide a welcoming atmosphere where people are able to express themselves freely and safely while learning new skills!
Artists will be putting on a variety of workshops throughout the day: skills like the basics of composting, songwriting and poetry, self-defense practices, and first aid. Workshops will operate on a rotating schedule so attendees can maximize skill-sharing while artists tailor their series to various ages (i.e., kid-friendly, teen-friendly, and adult-friendly time slots).
Over the past decade, we have witnessed a rapidly deteriorating social fabric, paired with a decline in third spaces, affordability, and community trust. We want the Make Life Fair to act as a catalyst in rebuilding these necessities. People of all backgrounds, ages, and cultures have a lot to learn from each other! It’s what makes Miami so special.
