Taino Petroglyph Stamp-Making with Mar Sublaban

The workshop will be a beginner intro to soft-block printmaking using symbolism and motifs from Puerto Rican Taino petroglyphs (carved rock art).

Participants will be shown an overview of Taino petroglyphs and symbols, then they will be introduced to the soft-block carving process- carving and creating their own prints and a stamp to take home. Mar will also be offering an alternative printmaking process with styrofoam as an accessible option that requires less wrist and hand strain.
